This summer, Dawsongroup, a leading independent asset-leasing business in the UK, became the latest of KKR’s European Infrastructure portfolio companies to implement a broad-based employee ownership program.
Since 2011, KKR has supported more than 65 portfolio companies by awarding billions of dollars in equity to over 170,000 non-senior management employees, helping to establish ownership cultures where employees think, act and contribute as true owners.
Employee ownership embodies KKR’s conviction that meaningful equity participation strengthens teamwork and collaboration, and importantly, shared purpose – altogether helping to drive long-term growth.
As part of KKR’s acquisition of Dawsongroup earlier this year, KKR announced that all employees – from drivers to directors – would have the opportunity to directly participate in the company’s future success.
This launch follows similar employee ownership program rollouts within the European Infrastructure portfolio, including at Smart Metering Systems, ContourGlobal and Greenvolt.
