When it works well, financial infrastructure is usually invisible. But especially when it comes to complex instruments, it takes a great deal of behind-the-scenes technology and effort to make a seamless experience possible.

Markets rely on OSTTRA, a financial technology company, to manage the post-trade processing, reconciliation, and settlement for some 80 million monthly trades in over-the-counter derivatives, which are financial contracts that trade away from public exchanges.

OSTTRA was part of a larger company until KKR’s Americas Private Equity team purchased and established it as a standalone business.
