Michael Russell (San Francisco) joined KKR in 2014 and is a Managing Director and Head of North America Credit Trading. Before joining KKR, Mr. Russell was a vice president at Evercore in the firm's private funds group, focusing on coverage of institutional limited partners in the Western United States. Previously, Mr. Russell was a vice president, first with Credit Suisse and then with Imperial Capital, where he worked in the fixed-income division focusing on institutional clients. Mr. Russell began his career in the investment banking division of Sandler O'Neill & Partners, L.P. in New York. He received a B.A. in Economics from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
