Changchun Hua (Hong Kong) joined KKR in 2021 and is a member of the Global Macro and Asset Allocation team, serving as the Chief Economist for Greater China and leading macro research for Northeast Asia. Prior to joining KKR, he was the global chief economist of GTJA Securities Research Institute, China economist at Nomura International (Hong Kong), an economist at the International Monetary Fund in the Hong Kong office, a manager at Hong Kong Monetary Authority and a researcher at Asia Development Bank Institute in Japan. He specializes in public economics and finance and obtained his PhD in Public Policy (Public Economics) from Hitotsubashi University of Japan, his MA in Economics from Renmin University of China, an M.P.P. from Hitotsubashi University of Japan, and a BA in Economic Management from Yanshan University in China.
